With 6 days until Christmas day, this must be the least shopping I have ever done. One year, many years ago before the times of children, I actually managed to shop, wrap and smile by October. Needless to say, those days are long gone and I suspect I will be joining the long queue of shoppers over the next few days. I do hope you are all managing to enjoy this festive season and spend time with your loved ones.

Christmas would not be the same without traditions. Decorating our tree is something I look forward to all year round. The children's handmade decorations are added and the multi colour tinsel is added to the tree. For the past 11 years, we have never had a perfectly positioned tree but It is unique to us and when I look at it, I can't help but smile. Looking forward to the New Year, makes me reflect on everything that has happened over the past year. The children will be another year older and I have a big milestone ahead. What will your New Year's resolution be?

Please don't forget that our awards open on the 9th January 2012. I am really looking forward to working on the project again and seeing all of your wonderful submissions.On behalf of the whole Lovedbyparents team, I would like to thank you for all of your wonderful support over the last year and wish you and your families a very Happy Christmas!

After months of planning and hard work, we are delighted to share with you the new Lovedbyparents site. With an easy to use menu, you will find all of your favorite monthly features, reviews and competitions.


This is a very exciting time for Lovedbyparents and we look forward to hearing your feedback.With just under 2 months to go now until the Lovedbyparents awards 2012 open. We have been really busy preparing and adding new categories and awards.Time really has flown past and I am really looking forward to working on the project once again.

It has been lovely to see Santa on twitter. Times really have moved on! Each week as everyone starts to count down the weeks until Christmas I really stop and think about how much has happened in the last 12 months. I must say, it is my favorite time of year and I really look forward to decorating the Christmas Tree and celebrating Eva’s 1st Christmas.

This month, I have thoroughly enjoyed researching Christmas Advent calendars- a hard job I know but someone has to do it!

Lastly, Our lucky winners of our Disney On Ice competition had a fantastic time at the Wembley show and sent us a lovely email as a thankyou!

“Thank you so much for the tickets to Disney on Ice, we decided to take Lily and Zak as it felt wrong to leave him out and I'm glad we did as he sat still and watched the whole thing! Lily loved seeing all the characters and got so excited to see mickey mouse she clapped and screamed at the top of her voice.”
